How it Works

Electronic Scan
We take a digital scan of your fingers on our digital fingerprint scanner. Our paralegals and lawyers are trained fingerprint scanner technicians.

Print to Card
We print your scanned fingerprints and identity information to the FD-258 Applicant Fingerprint Form, on solid card stock.

Handoff or Send
Depending on your needs, we either give the card to you, or send the card an accompanying documents on your behalf. We destroy all local scan information.
Why We do This
We started fingerprint services with the goal to help our immigrant clients:
In North Carolina, where we are based, there are almost no fingerprinting options for people outside of local sheriff's offices or police stations. For our immigrant clients, some of whom are undocumented, this presents an often-insurmountable challenge owing to fears of ICE arrest (often unfounded) at law enforcement agencies.
Wishing to help our clients, we started looking for a modern solution to fingerprinting. We realized that there was no reason we could not offer fingerprinting services ourselves.

After all, whether you are an immigrant or a professional in need of fingerprinting services, the safest and most convenient place you could go to get your fingerprints taken is a law firm. We can bind your transactions with us in attorney-client confidentiality privileges, and we owe you a fiduciary duty of care with your information. In addition, if need be, we are the only other type of organization, aside from an FBI channeler, than can send your documents in for processing to law enforcement agencies.
We Invested in Digital Fingerprint Technology
Of course, we wanted to provide a modern, digital solution. Ink fingerprinting was too disruptive to us, and not something we could integrate into our business. We settled on the purchase and installation of a fingerprinting suite that electronically scans fingerprints, at a resolution accepted by the FBI, and prints the scans to an FBI card. We did not realize until later that our tech investment makes us the most advanced provider of fingerprinting services in the Carolinas, outside of a federal government building.
