DACA Screening Tool Introduction
This DACA screening tool is a first of its kind adaptive, automatic screen built by an immigration law firm, fronteraTECH Law. This DACA screening provides for both an eligibility screen and a “Red Flag”/Inadmissibility screen for all users.
We do not ask for personal identifying information, and as a law firm we are treating all users as limited clients while using the form, thereby protecting the information with a limited attorney-client privilege.
The DACA screening tool does more than simply produce an evaluation without an explanation. At every possible step it tries to provide “To do” action items. As the tool continues to grow, we will continue to infuse it with relevant links, video explanations, and further “To do” items.
How the DACA Screening Tool Works
We are evaluating candidates along 9 eligibility criteria, which are:
-You were born after June 15, 1981, and therefore under 31 years old on June 15, 2012
-You are 15 years old or older
-You currently have no legal status
-You are not currently in legal proceedings and do not have a removal order
-You entered the United States before June 15, 2007
-You have not left the United States since June 15, 2007
-You entered the United States when you were younger than 16 years old
-You likely satisfy the education or military requirement
-You were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012
And after we complete the evaluation, we produce a score from 0-9, telling you how many criteria you meet. From there, we take you through what criteria you are missing, how this may impact you, and, critically, what you can do about it if there is anything to be done.
DACA Screen Red Flag Questionnaire
We then conduct a similar process for the Red Flag questionnaire, asking a series of red flag questions, providing you with a score, and then a series of tips on what you can do.
